This may not be a big deal, just thought I’d share a few minutes of experience…... While planing a few boards for my next project, I found that my planer was cutting one side of a 7” wide board a bit thinner than the other. Well, you know yourself, ya can’t have that! So, I got into adjusting the old Ryobi AP1301. (which was actually very ez) First, sorry for a few of the pics that are blurry, but, you can still get the point. After the adjustments, you can see by the thickness gauge, it is right on now.. It took just a little finessin, but, no big deal. Anyone can do it.. :) Unplugged of coarse, before doin anything.

Funny that you posted this Roger. I noticed about a month ago that my Delta was doing the same. I tinkered with the knives and got it closer. I wundered at the time if those nuts adjusted it any but didn’t mess with them. I had then forgot about it ‘til this morning. Thanks for posting…..

Thanks for the tip! I would have suspected I installed the knives incorrectly.

Great tip ROger. I´ll check whether my anonymous made planner has such adjustment nut. As Lew I was also suspecting an incorrect installation of new knives. We´ll see.
Thanks again

thnx guys. Before ya’ll make any adjustments to those nuts, I put a mark with a felt tip, and only moved it a flat at a time, because you have to move both nuts, then mark the board with chalk, and make a cut. I ran it through on right first, then the left. i actually had to bring the left side back down, just a hair. figure out which way, wheather you need to go up, or down. Just a suggestion.. OH, and p.s. I don’t know about ya’ll, but, I only take a 32nd, or maybe a 64th at a time. It takes longer, but, I don’t have to sharpen my knives very often
