Often some of the handiest ideas are so simple we all think—why didn’t I think of that! A while back I ordered a set of these “Quick Corners” from Woodcraft. http://www.woodcraft.com/product/124220/quick-corner-four-pack.aspx

I have found them very useful several times, In the past, like most of you I was looking all over the shop for something with the right radius to mark a rounded corner. Usually it was a can of putty, or maybe a paint can or anything round. These are so simple to use I wish I had had them years ago. As you can see, this set has convex and concave arcs in multiple sizes, and 45 degree angle in several sizes.

They all feature a built in lip so set-up is a breeze. Just hang it on the corner and mark.

Thanks for looking!

Well worth the price. Thanks for the tip.

Really like these and wouldn’t be to hard to make a set, just need to get er done.
Thanks for the heads up.
The funny thing is I needed that set today and would have paid the price right then and there. lol

I just went and looked at the link and they would be too big for my projects but that’s just fine I’ll make some to fit.

Hi Kent,

I’m still hanging around Lumberjocks…Been here almost 7 years…..I haven’t been back down to Lubbock in quite a while….next time I’m down that way, I’ll drive out and see you, if I have time….It’s been a long time since you’ve been on here, too…I’m sure your woodworking business takes up most of it.

I bought something similar cost me $8AUD I thought it was a great bit of kit!

Good for finding the center of round stock or square stock.

So in summary 4 for $23USD make them $5.75 ea….I think I got seen off!!

Now here is something that will impress everybody

Plastic G clamps

I bought these some time ago.
Really good clamps!
They do not mark the timber
They do not stain the timber
Glue does not stick to them
You cannot overtighten them causing too much glue squeese out
and at only $18 each what a bargain, I am surprised there is not more available

I did have a problem with one it went off center for some unknown reason

I took it back to the shop where I bought it but it was closed due to family illness
I check back some weeks later and it was still closed I hope they are OK its getting to be a bit of a concern now as I am thinking they may have pulled a swiftie on me.. but I hope not
