Hope / Blanket Chest #3: Dimensions

The dimensions for the hope chest were a bit trickier to figure out. I spent several hours on and off thinking about this and trying different things. The sides had to be a bit smaller because of way I’m going to attach the sides to the front and back. I also wanted to keep the chest at a finished size of 24” x 48” x 24” (24 tall, 48 long, 24 deep). The front and back sides will be glued with biscuits using a simple butt joint. The finished dimensions of the sides: 24” tall x 22 1/2” wide.
