So my attention turned to the two pairs of hinges I’ll need…Since the top and bottom panels are Mahogany, I thought it wo...

I’ve been getting a few email requests for a video on how I calculate the error ratio and how to correct and construct a cross cut sled that’s dead on square. I’ve been demonstrating this at the Woodworking shows for the past 5, 6 years and I still get emails asking me about the error ratio calculations. So here it is.
Material List for sled:Runners: 5/16” x 3/4” x 30” Base: 1/2” x 34” x 30” Front Fence: 1-1/2” x 5” x 30R...

The last time I needed beads I had to find someone to turn them for me. Well thanks to LJ’s daKremer and David William Bethune blogs on bead makers I was able to make them myself. I used the beads on the ends of necklace hooks for my Regifted Jewelry Box. I don’t have a motor hanging around but I do have a drill press. A unused paint can served as the container. A plywood disk with treaded rod shaft would spin in the paint can. I made the disk so it would just fit into the c...

A few months ago I spent many many hours trying to perfectly align a set of “box joint hinges” for my project ” A Little Cabinetree” After I finally got them working I installed them on the edges of the MDF sides and doors and then veneered over the whole works.
The only good part was that there were enough left over prototype parts that I could make a hinge for my next project from the cast-offs
Then this week I was making a tea box for a friend and when...

After two years of pondering, I finally started a concrete counter-top. This will be going in a master bathroom. I have the mold construction complete. Next step is to radius off the corners and fill the small voids using caulk and/or bondo.
I’m ordering a new product from Lowes by Quikrete called “Countertop Mix”. (http://www.quikrete.com/productlines/CountertopMixPro.asp) I’ll need two 80lb bags costing about $11 each. I calculated the finished weight to be a...

Welcome Back!
We will begin be going over some safety tips.
First of all it is always important to know your tools and use them safely. You will be working with very small pieces of wood so, the utmost care is needed.
Always use all guards and a zero clearance blade on the table saw.
Always use proper eye and ear protection.
If something does not seem safe, then stop!
Step #4
In this section we are going to be doing our Final Sanding, Finishing and Assembly of the bracelet.
