FOR OUR HEALTH **WE ALL NEED A LAUGH OR AT LEAST A CHUCKLE ........OR A NEW JOB…!!!!...

Did I read that sign right?

‘TOILET OUT OF ORDER. PLEASE USE FLOOR BELOW’

In a Laundromat:
‘AUTOMATIC WASHING MACHINES: PLEASE REMOVE ALL YOUR CLOTHES WHEN THE LIGHT GOES OUT’

In a London department store: ‘BARGAIN BASEMENT UPSTAIRS’

In an office:
‘WOULD THE PERSON WHO TOOK THE STEP LADDER YESTERDAY …. PLEASE BRING IT BACK OR FURTHER STEPS WILL BE TAKEN ‘

In an office:
‘AFTER TEA BREAK STAFF SHOULD EMPTY THE TEAPOT AND STAND UPSIDE DOWN ON THE DRAINING BOARD’

Outside a secondhand shop:
‘WE EXCHANGE ANYTHING – BICYCLES, WASHING MACHINES, ETC. WHY NOT BRING YOUR WIFE ALONG AND GET A WONDERFUL BARGAIN?’

Notice in health food shop window:
‘CLOSED DUE TO ILLNESS’

Spotted in a safari park:
‘ELEPHANTS PLEASE STAY IN YOUR CAR’

Seen during a conference: ‘FOR ANYONE WHO HAS CHILDREN AND DOESN’T KNOW IT, THERE IS A DAY CARE ON THE 1ST FLOOR’

Notice in a farmer’s field:
‘THE FARMER ALLOWS WALKERS TO CROSS THE FIELD, FOR FREE, BUT THE BULL CHARGES.’

Message on a leaflet: ‘IF YOU CANNOT READ, THIS LEAFLET WILL TELL YOU HOW TO GET LESSONS’

On a repair shop door: ‘WE CAN REPAIR ANYTHING. (PLEASE KNOCK HARD ON THE DOOR – THE BELL DOESN’T WORK)’

This isn’t a sign, but a sign of the times …

Last December while in L.A. visiting, I stayed in a hotel with a coffee shop. I went down for breakfast at 6:00 when they opened. There were two waitresses, two cooks, and a bus boy. One of the waitresses told me they couldn’t take any orders because the computers were down. I couldn’t even get a cup of coffee ????

Hey Karson ( oh by the way i can read Dick and Barb’s post like the morning paper) hooked on phonics worked for me!!
Since we are on the subject of kirks… why do we “drive” on a parkway and “park” on a driveway hummmm?
It is great to laugh. The alternative sucks!

good one Karson.

and Dick – if you’ve ever heard of speed-reading – it’s based on a similar concept – our brain can actually read an entire line by just looking at it – but our conscience is used to being “told” a story – so we still read word by word to the point that we can “hear” it in our mind – which is unnecessary and wasteful of time. google it up.

We went to Taco Johns in our town one morning, & ordered breakfast burritos.

They said,”SORRY! WE’RE OUT OF EGGS.”

I often wish I could speed read.

I guess it takes a lot practice, I’d rather be woodworking.

Here’s a link about speed reading.

Hey Karson
That’s funny stuff. I wrote a blog a while back saying that we should just focus on woodworking,But I have to admit I always enjoy the information you and Dick & Barb and others post with other information and humor after all.
