Last December while in L.A. visiting, I stayed in a hotel with a coffee shop. I went down for breakfast at 6:00 when they opened. There were two waitresses, two cooks, and a bus boy. One of the waitresses told me they couldn’t take any orders because the computers were down. I couldn’t even get a cup of coffee ????

and Dick – if you’ve ever heard of speed-reading – it’s based on a similar concept – our brain can actually read an entire line by just looking at it – but our conscience is used to being “told” a story – so we still read word by word to the point that we can “hear” it in our mind – which is unnecessary and wasteful of time. google it up.
