Well today is my 1000 day being a LumberJock

Blog entry by Karson posted 294 days ago 303 reads 0 times favorited 26 comments Add to Favorites Watch

Gee, another milestone.

I was looking at my posts and I noticed that today, Groundhogs day 2009, is my 1000 day of being a member.

This has been truly a blast and a lot of fun.

Made lots of friends, and probably a few enemies. But, overall an upward time being here.

Have fun guys and gals and make sawdust, or planer shavings. What ever turns you on.

And thank you Martin.

Congrats Karson!!! 1,000 days – that is impressive.

I do find it hard to believe that you’d make any enemies though. ;-)

Well you are 1000 days ahead of me, my friend. I know one thing for sure. I no longer need 26 hour days. I am now pushing for 28 hrs ones. The youngsters keep me hoping that is for sure.

And, I’m happy to pass along some of my experience and fill in the rest with BS.

Time flies when you are having fun?

I think that is what got me started with woodworking… enjoyable, fun, constructive pastime. Thanks to you and this site, we amateurs have a valuable resource of masters to learn from. Or said another way, learning from my mistakes is more enjoyable when masters are available to help figure out how to fix them—or tell me what I should have done the first time?

I read your blog on the Golden Mean… and read about tpsstore’s Shaker weave box with his explanation and application of Fibonacci… well, there went a couple of hours just going around the house tape measure in hand checking dimensions against the theory. Then, I got out our Shaker furniture book and checked their drawings and dimensions… Interesting fun, but the Mrs thought I was going a little nuts, again.
