I know that Thos. Angle is not visiting us much anymore. We miss him and his humor and posts.

But he has taken a job as a Range Manager and hasn’t been visiting us for the last 63 days.

Tomorrow July 26, 2008 has been declaired the National Day of the American Cowboy Thomas has always been our American Cowboy and I want to tell him I miss him.

He came up on the rotation not too long ago and I had to say hi…even though he wont say it…

Karson—-did he leave us a SNAIL MAIL address??? Maybe we can all send him a postcard of our latest projects…

Just an idea…

I haven’t seen an address but he stated that he would be back in his own home over the winter.

I did notice this though. It looks like the ranch where he is working is for sale $3,500,000. 3,900 acres deeded and 66,000 of BLM leased land in two states.

There is also a topo map of the farm on the real estate page.

Funny you should post this Karson. I was just beating on myself for not sitting down to write Tom and Carleen a note (time flys when you go up over that 50+ year old age hill; the slope down is steep — where has the summer gone!).

I think their mail will be forwarded to the Circle Bar Ranch. Since the address is readily available on the internet white pages, I don’t think Thos. will mind my letting the cat out of the bag.

Thos. and Carleen Angle
404 Blackaby Street
Jordan Valley, OR 97910

I tried looking up the ranch but got two hits (probably at either end of the property). I tried to get a look at the map to see if either jibed with Tom’s description. It’s interesting that on both locations, the pointer comes up in the middle of…nothing. You have to widen out the view significantly to see any roads, towns or geographic features. Just the place for our cowboy. I have to admit, I miss his stories and his wisdom here on LJs.

Now let’s fill up that mailbox folks! I promise to have a letter in the mail tomorrow.

Hi Guys

That is quite a piece of property. Our buddy might take all winter just to get back to the bunkhouse!

What a beautiful piece of land. I think I would love it there, and the taxes are right about a third of mine. Which when you consider I have only one acre makes me think there must be an incredible school system here. Maybe sending my son to private school is a waste of money.

I guess Thomas is rebuilding the calluses on his butt!

I know one thing, I can’t wait for some tales from around the old campfire. I miss him too. He’s a gentle giant in my eyes.
