I just spent the last hour talking with Mark.
He has a little (OK maybe more) pain. The surgery was just below the rib cage so any coughing or heavy breathing brings on pain. He said that he is trying to use many short breaths to ease the suffering.
No driving for a week and no workshop for 10 days to 2 weeks. No lifting anything over 10 lbs.
We spent a lot of time discussing LumberJocks and the changes we see and possible some changes we’d like to see. (Like with all of the new activity we see on the site it’s getting harder to be able to visit all of the pages and make comments.) Don made a comment to the effect earlier today.
All in all he is in good spirits. He said that he told his wife to log in and tell everyone that he was doing fine. She told him that I had called and was going to do that.
So here is a later update.
I’m not sure when he’ll be logging back in because he said that he is trying to sit up more. So his time away from the workshop will not be spent at the keyboard.

Thanks Karson,
Mark, you’re in our thoughts and prayers.
We’ll be “chatting” again real soon, meanwhile,
Rest up brother.

Mark will be fine, he just needed some time off.
Karson… tell him I’m trying to talk Martin into starting “LUMBERJOCKS: The Magazine. Articles, tool reviews, advertising and most importantly Money for Martin. For people that are smart enough to click a link, but not smart enough to upload a picture there’s LUMBERJOCKS:The Magazine How to Articles, projects, this actually has great potential

Tell Mark God Bless, and he’s in my prayers. I don’t know how we’re going to keep going without him, somebody will step up I suppose. But we miss you terrible big guy. Love you brother, mike

thanks folks, who would have thought that a silly website could be so meaningful?
Karson did tell me about Obi’s thoughts on the “Magazine”. He also had some cool ideas for project competitions in between the normal Summer & Winter ones. And he told me about all of the new activity, new jocks, new projects, and people’s comments. So, you can see why I got so excited and ran out of breath!
thanks folks, keep us updated on your condition John.
