Well today May 7th is my 7th anniversary in Lumberjocks.

A lot of changes in those years.

Some good and some bad.

The good is all of the experts with all of their talents that give us all a challenge to improve.

The bad has to do with the family that we had built up with just a few of us being around. We could look at each post and get a conversation going. Their wasn’t any messaging, it was all done on our blogs.

Now we still have some friendships but there is not the close knit group that we once had. I miss those days. But, I also look forward to the next unbelievable fantastic post.

Thanks one and all. Thanks Martin for your hard work and dedication to perfection. Now if you were just a woodworker we would also give joy for your making dust, but we are happy you are making electrons do their magic.

May we all be blessed in the coming years.

Congrats Karson. I never seem to remember mine, but I just passed 5 years a couple of days ago. You are right about the changes. I miss the kinder, gentler, lower volume days before the blocking option ;-))

Heartfelt congratulations and thanks for your contributions Karson.
You are one of the pillars of this site that we “new guys” look up to and respect.
There may be more folks in the city now but we still have our little “neighborhoods” and I am pleased to have you as one of my close neighbors.

7 years .. wow.
The site wouldn’t be the same without you!
When I used to talk about the site with Rick and I’d mention you, I’d say “You know, the “Dad” of the site…” Always taking care of everyone, making sure everybody was ok! And all the wonderful projects by your kids. Yah. Wouldn’t be the same without you!

Congrats Karson.
Things like people grow up and get bigger. The goal is to train them along the way on how grow up and to be on their own. You have helped spawn a wonderful child here at LJs. You should be proud.

Well said Karson. And Happy Anniversary to you… ... by the way, how is that finger coming along? Have you considered acquiring a SawStop?

To those of you who may not know, Karson brought me into woodworking through this site and into the Mason Dixon Woodoworker’s organization. Through him and the organization, he helps everyone in the learning and doing of woodworking. His generosity of sharing adds a dimension of camaraderie that may be illusive elsewhere.

Congratulations Karson (Karmac the Magnificent), my dear friend and mentor.
My relationship with you has been a total joy and inspiration, such a fine teacher and gentlemen.
Yes, a very happy LJ birthday my friend, and many more.
