Lumberjocks will be celebrating it’s fifth anniversary on Feb 26, 2011.
Of course the fifth anniversary is known as the one to give wood articles. How cool.
Congratulations Martin on this milestone.
A great site and a lot of friendships.

I agree!
Congrats Martin & thank-you. I love this site. The things I have learned here and the new friendships are priceless. I have grown leaps and bounds with the help from this site and the memebers. For having over 20k members there is very little problems.
The only suggeston would be if one day we figure out how to stop members from joining here just to place those silly ads!
Again Thx & Happy Anniversary to all Fellow Lumberjocks!!!!!!

Congrats Martin on your hard-won success with this website. Every interactive website develops and reflects a ‘tone,’ and you’ve guided this one into a true community. So much is offered that we can all learn something here, and you’ve made it very valuable to us. Thanks for all your hard work.

This is quite a different style of forum. I am relatively new here and the format really intrigues me. The fact that there are so many members is testament to its successful design. It really does push the “community” aspect of a forum.

Five years sure have gone by quickly! Time does fly when you’re having fun and this forum is the only one that I check on regularly now. It’s so easy to manuever and post and the features are always being improved. Truly a work of love from Martin’s efforts.
Thanks again Martin for such a wonderful place for woodworkers of all levels, interests and backgrounds to commune. There’s just not other place like this, as one would be quite intimidated at a brick & mortar event, if that would be convenient to go to, and not likely with the travel issues, not to mention time, as I can frequent LJ’s any time of day or night.

Yes Martin, this is a wonderful site, and it’s a reflection on you. You had the foresite to kind of let it develope with your guidance of course. The quality of people are top notch, that too is a product of the way you listen to people and handle things, of course we can’t leave out Ms Debbie. She had huge a hand in this site”s growth, and the family tone of the place. Yes Karson, to me, you, Dick Cain and Mark DeCou are all cornerstones of this place. Many loving, lasting friendships have developed here by the way you guys help guide the site as it first started to grow. You kind of taught us how to behave ourselves on here. God Bless all of you and every other Jock and Jockette out there. mike
