I am a husband and father and I have always enjoyed building things. I am a dedicated do-it-yourselfer. I learned all of this from my dad who framed and remodeled homes for the better part of two decades. I have been the helper/tool retriever assistant every since I could hold a screwdriver. I am looking forward to learning more about this craft and building some really worthwhile projects for myself and others.

Welcome to Lumber Jocks! This is a great place to get – or give – advice about woodworking on the forums and the project posts are a wonderful source of new ideas. I look forward to seeing your projects and posts.

To get the most feedback on your projects, it’s best to only post 1 or 2 at a time. This way you will get feedback over several days and from a wide variety of members.

Please enjoy your membership.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless

Thanks for the welcome everybody. I am currently working on a Ron Hock plane kit. It’s all glued up and I am awaiting a spokeshave I ordered and some time on my dad’s bandsaw to do the shaping. I’ll be sure to post pictures once it’s all finished.

Hi Justin. I just saw your post regarding the man sues Ryobi and noticed you’re from Spokane. So am I. Whooo hoo that makes two of us? Maybe there are more but I haven’t seen them yet. Anyway. Welcome to LJ. Great community and fairly addictive so be careful!
