I’m building my wife a shelf system for her carving corner in the garage. Carcass is 3/4” sanded plywood and will hang by a french cleat on the wall. I finished the glue up on the carcass and surprisingly it’s mostly square. The Home Depot plywood had some unique warp to it but I got everything cut square and the glue and clamping pulled it into shape.

It’ll be about 60”tall and 30” wide – I’ll hang it off the floor about 14- 16” – not sure about that.

I’m putting in two slide out shelves at about waist height (to her) for the most frequently used tools.

I did a re-saw of 1X6 for drawer sides with my band saw – never had done a re-saw that high before and it came out pretty good. I’m going to use locking rabbet joints for the drawers. Will get that going tomorrow (in between the Bronco game at 11:00am)

I’ll get some pics posted to show (what I call) progress.

Well, here’s the resulting shelf/drawers. Came out OK – really struggled with getting the drawers right with the slides. You gotta be dead-nuts on with the drawer width dimension to get a good connection. Lesson learned!

I’m sure she loves it, she gets a great storage unit, you get lessons in resawing and drawer making a win win.

Was that seposed to be funny about worrying about neck problems? If your trying to be a funny guy you should keep your day job. Helping should not include sarcasm.
