Here is the pattern for a box that is currently in my projects. It has a slide top lid. Just make sure you cut the back off BEFORE you cut the lid out. That way the lid has a stop. I know this from my own mistake.

Interesting way to “hide” a top compartment. I like it.

A very nice looking bandsaw box. I’ve just made one and it was way small and I used a dull blade and got a lot of burning in the burl wood. So i had lots of sanding.

So I can appreciate some of your design work.

What’s the wood you plan to use?

I like this pattern too. Will you give me the overall dimensions and type of wood you are using? I look forward to seeing the finished project!

Moonls, there is one in my projects that I made out of Walnut. It is 6 1/2w x 5h. You can enlarge the pattern to any size you wish.

Hi Just A Girl:

I actually tapped into your artwork through comments made my Terrilynne over my Sealover’s Wine Box. Having viewed her lovely artistic pieces and reading the many comments made … I found you.

While setting myself up in Lumberjocks (just the other day) the nickname ‘Justagirl’ was already taken. I had to come up with another nickname!

Curiosity got the best of me … and I’m glad it did. Beautiful! Beautiful work! You go girl!!

Cheers … Elaine from Duncan

Here is a band saw box that I finally finished yesterday and now I’m figuring out where to put it. Took me about 3 weeks total time to get it finished up the way I wanted it to.

Have your say...
