no previous part Part 1 of Veneer Press series no next part

I made this simple veneer press in preparation for a project. The veneer press is similar to a couple I saw posted here on L.J. I don’t have any spare room left in the garage so I wanted a veneer press that could be easily disassembled and stored away and would not take up any floor space.

Pretty cool setup! where did you get the threaded crank/handle? they look pretty robust. did you just weld a nut to the inside of the c channel?

The threaded cranks are veneer screws from Rockler. The nut came with the veneer screw, but I had to cut the length to fit inside the channel.

Looks like that will work fine Julian.
Very flexible in setup options and easy to store.
What’s not to like about that?

Lee Valley also has the screws.
