Segmented Pyrography vessel #2 #1: The building process.

12-08-2017 07:32 PM by Julian | 8 comments »

This vessel is made from maple and macassar ebony. My goal was to make a square wave pattern with a tilt. This turned out to be more tricky than I realized but finally figured it out. The center of the vessel will be burned with a pattern I found in a Youtube video. The pattern is called Ududu by Ellen Wolters. First step is to draw out the design from which I will get all my measurements. The final result turned out a little different. The vessel was made in two parts and then glued together. The last picture is before any finish was applied.I’ll post the final result on the projects section in a day or two.
