I have the Aussie equivalent of the G1023Z (known as the TSC10HB) which is virtually the same as yours.That saw is a very popular model here. Lovely TS to work with.

The wood storage rack looks like a commercial kitchen rack, certainly more deserving of fine wood, than mere pots and pans! And, nice wood you have.

On another note ….. you’ve gotta be a Sox fan. For my son’s college graduation present, we drove from East Tennessee to Fenway last year to see the Sox and the Yankees. It was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in a ball park, and one that my son and I will never forget. Go Red Sox!!

I sent this to Pitch in email, but I thought I’d put it in here as well, as others have asked about the JDS:

I have problems with my sinuses that predate my interest in woodworking. The last thing I wanted to do was make them worse.

When I blew my nose and it was colored walnut, I basically did not return to the shop until the JDS arrived, and the first thing I did was pop a dust mask on, install it, fire it up at max speed, and then run around my shop with the blowgun on the air compressor and stirred up the dust.

Given my shop is only about 11×20, it took an amazingly short time to scrub that air clean. I’d guess after about 30 minutes I could not even pick up the scent of walnut.

Another very important addition that made a huge difference in airborne dust was upgrading my DC to one that includes a low micron pleated filter on it. (I have a frankenstein DC, a Delta 1200 with a Jet Canister on top). My old Jet 650 with the standard bag was was probably the biggest airborne dust dispersal mechanism in the shop!

Between the JDS, Delta w/Dust Dog Cannister, a new micron pleated filter for the shop vac (available from home depot!), and converting all my sanding tools over to integral dust collection (Festool ETS125EQ and RO125FEQ), dust faces a forbidable problem getting into the air in my shop.

for that matter, most of my powered handtools are festool now. They’re like pringles. You can’t have just one!
