In the beginning, there was a big 8/4 mahogany board. And it was good.

I cut a chunk offa the end, and surfaced it.

Into the resaw blade it went.

Then some sides and ends appeared. There was no need to do any advanced bookmatching, the grain is practically parallel, and the box will be tailed, not mitered.
