Just an update....

I’ve been a bit silent lately due to some big changes in my life. First, the lovely lady in my icon has been upgraded from girlfriend to fiance! Looking at a wedding later this year. Very excited!

I’ve also put my condo on the market. We’ve actually already found a lovely house (with a completely unfinished 24×40 walk out basement. MUAHAAH!) Unfortunately, my micro shop space has been retasked to storage in order to de-clutter the condo for sale.

Seriously pondering doing some tool replacement as part of the move, to save on the moving costs of the various big heavy items. Been hoping to increase jointer size for some time. I love my grizzly TS, but it might be time to upgrade to a saw stop while I still have some cash. Even if I kept the 1023, I’d be putting 7’ rails on it anyway now that I have the space.

New house has a seriously dated, very undersized kitchen area, and plenty of open space to expand the kitchen into, so I will probably attempt the work myself. Likely need a drum sander too.

I’m sure once I get moved there will be all sorts of shop layout posts and whatnot from me!

Wow. You don’t do anything in a small way do you? Congratulations on everything.

Congratulations on the coming wedding, as well as your move. Sounds like an exciting year ahead for you. We are looking forward to seeing those house pictures and remodeling when you get started.

Congrats on both and wish you well in the sale of the condo. Have you already staked a claim on the 24X40 basement?

Congrats on the wedding, shop, and possible tool acquisitions! I would definitely get the Sawstop. Check out my most currents post related to my birthday. It is a excellent saw. And can be calibrated and adjusted way beyond a Delta or Powermatic. Congrats again!
