Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless
tom

Hey – thanks to all who welcomed me to LumberJocks ! Am a novice wood turner, who now has to jump to
the intermediary (next) class – because I entered the NM State fair as a novice – and won four first place
ribbons – plus best of class. Now I am really gonna have to be sharp as a skew ! Also dabble in other wood working science, such as – cabinets, furniture, out houses (bird and potting/green), etc, etc, etc. Am just
starting to work into band saw boxes – haven’t started yet, just thinking about it. My shop is a two thirds
size single car garage with, table saw, band saw, lathe, drill press, and two work benches – on wheeled conveyances. Got to find room for one more tool – combo belt/disc sander. Almost forgot – used to be a
professional picture framer.

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a little over a year ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…

Hey – anybody out there have a “comprehensive” list of oily hardwoods ? I found a small list at www.wood-
database.com, but I seem to think there are a lot more out there.

Jim, I think it’s just example of the theory of quantum time (As explained by Morgan Freeman on the Science Channel :). There’s another world where Bloomberg is a socialist, Hitler is a liberal and Glenn Beck is a rationalist.
