10,000 hour theory
spemd 10,000 hours on 1 segment of woodworking, like spending 10,000 hours using just handtools. You only scratch the surface of what there is to know
spemd another 10,000 hours finishing wood, a previous 10,000 hours sanding it
its the theory of 10K.
its a journey few complete, no matter what field they choose. requiring total dedication, personal sacrifce, and disciplined commitment
at least you made me laugh

thats the thing woodworking is the act or art of working wood. You dont need 1000s of hours of experience to be a woodworker as long as you love what you do and give your effort and work wood then why can you not consider that wood working?yes there are people that dedicate them selves but they do it for money many of us here on lumberjocks do it as a hobby

Some of the best woodworkers aren’t even exceptional at working wood. But they make up for it in concepts and ideas. Because arguably, the finest techniques applied to a poorly concieved idea are signs of an inferior woodworker.
Just think of all the technically brilliant musicians who never excell in the field because of the poorly concieved music they choose to play.

I really don’t worry about questions like that too much. I just try to enjoy what I do.
