« Part 1: The Rules Part 2 of Frank Lloyd Wright Contest series Part 3: I didn't finish. »

For those who didn’t know about it or catch my first blog post about this, I figured we could have a fun little Frank Lloyd Wright inspired build off. The rules and time frame are all covered in the first blog in this series. The more the merrier. I hope to get a lot of people to enter. I think it will be cool to see what we all come up with.

I must admit that I have not gotten much farther that checking out a couple of books online. I did finally decide on a house that I think will work with a lovely box I have been commissioned to build. I am going to attempt to use carry FLW line design into my box. I believe the way he has his windows laid out will work well with the type of inlays I have been doing lately. I figured I would share the picture of the house I chose as my inspiration. I chose The Williams Adams House built in Chicago IL in 1900-01 and I think it’s for sale. Wouldn’t that be cool.

Well here is a pic of the FLW house I have picked as my inspiration. That’s all I’m giving you until time to post completed projects. Anyone else who wants to play along, feel free to post a picture of your inspiration.

Until next time, make lots of sawdust.

I think about it a lot, that’s unfortunately all the time I have had :-)

That’s about all I’ve had time for myself Monte. I have a commission that will have a lot of straight line inlay work to it and as I was looking threw the FLW book, I realized this house had similar lines to my sketch. So I modified my work to be influenced a little more by the Adams house. Now I get to mark off two things from the to do list with one project.
