« Part 5: finally Part 6 of new ideas series Part 7: I made it into the shop finally »

So I have finally finished most of the remodel. Just a few more loose ends to tie up. So I have found a few hours to get into the shop. This is what i have so far. Once again I have to thank Andy., for I am using his style palm boxes. I wanted to give them a spin. I am also taking inspiration from his art boxes with the grinding. I don’t have a sanding disc for my angle grinder, plus these boxes only have 3/8 inch sides so I am using drum sanders. Both on a drill press and in my drill. The grinding is fun, but I think the finish sanding may be a pain. Lets see. Here are a few pics of what I have done so far.

I used walnut, bloodwood, cherry, wenge, purple heart, zebrawood, maple, and poplar, so far.

If anyone has any other ways to add texture to the boxes, I would like to try a few other ideas before i finish these boxes. Thanks for looking at my work

Andy has really made an impact that I’m shortly to copy. I love your boxes!
