« Part 2: what to build? Part 3 of new ideas series Part 4: Really, I am almost ready »

I have my new lumber laid out on my table saw waiting for me.
I have a couple of ideas floating around in my brain.
Ready to go right?

First I have to complete the bathroom remodel for my wife. I have been working on it for almost a month. It seems like a long time on just a half bath, in my defense, I did gut it to the studs and I only work on it a hour or two a day. So far I have fixed several things inside the walls, hung and finished the sheetrock, painted the walls using venetian plaster paint which is as thick as jello pudding and has to be put on with a 6 in taping knife. I just finished laying the tile. Now I just have to grout the tile and put in the cabinets and toilet. As soon as all that is done, I get to make some saw dust. I would post pictures of it but the best I can tell it that only woodworking pictures are wanted, so I will hold off for now.

Thanks for being patient with this series, the saw dust is coming…....................

I’m in the same boat; trying to reno my house and unable to woodwork. Unfortunately house chores seem to trump woodworking every time.

I can’t complain to much. Our deal is that for each room I remodel, I get a new tool. I had to waste it on this one and get a tile saw. It’s not something I want to use very much. My knees are shot from laying so much tile when I restored historic homes in Richmond, VA. But when you have a tile floor to lay, you have to have one. I have a few more rooms we are talking about putting tile in and I plan to make up for it then.

Nice tile job! I love all the detail. I hope you get into the shop soon, and start enjoying making some dust.
