Hi Everyone

I am new to this website and new to woodworking.

I have a tool problem. I have a Makita 2012 (older version not the NB). I jammed it up being a little aggressive with some maple and the motor stopped. I can’t find a way to reset the motor. Does anyone have any suggestions?

If the motor dos not have any safety and/or overheat swiches a damged armature is a possible cause: Other that that a possible cause can be the brushes.
Hope that other people with knowledge on that specifik tool have better suggestions.
