Was reading your post about your glue up troubles and happened onto your profile and see you don't live too far from me. I live in Fresno. So, I know you've been here a while, but here's a belated welcome to LJ's neighbor.
Thank you,
Wow I cant believe its been two years. Time flies when were in our shops working away having fun/pulling our hair out. I have to be completely honest in saying LJ's has helped my wood working and I look forward to seeing all the great ideas and projects posted on this terrific site.
Lets Keep The Chips Flying LJ's
Hi Jim, This is a great carving. Did you start out with a square block and carve from there. Did you do it with a knife or did you use something like a dremel tool. I have the $300.00 tool that is based on the dentists drill. It is so much the same that I had my dentist give me all his, to him, dull drills. I must have 200 cutters of twenty different kinds. I don't use it much as I have never learned how to use it. If you haven't used this to do your carvings and are using a dremel tool. The dremel tool is the Chev and the dentists drill is the Cadillac.
Hi Jim, I just went to look at your album. and gosh wow. I am impressed. I can see I have a lot to learn from you. thanks for leading me to this group. Evie, from CCG , Hesperia carvers 32 hope you add me to your friend list.
JEEZZZ LOUIEEESSS! As a friend always said. I'd have to comment on each piece, can't type that much, finger gets tired. So, let me say here, you are awesome man. Very cool work! Love the carving knives. You really do them justice. Glad I found your site.
Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.
