I went 100 miles north of Fort Frances on a fishing trip in late September. We stopped in a small grocery store to get our provisions for the week and I ask the owner how many people left town for the winter. His reply everyone that can afford it!

Jerlac, are you on the grid up there. Or do you have generators.

No generator i pedal a bike to charge the battery to run my planner haha
We got power just like everyone and we dont live in iglloos either haha

No Jerlac, I didn’t think you lived in an igloo. But I bet you have to prepare for winter more than us who live closer to the equator.

what!! no snowblower?? The only piece of equipment I own that I never want to use… -35 today with the windchill and you are further north than I am whats it doing there today???
