Hello,

Thought I would make a few post in the blog here. I am just now trying to get serious about building woodworking projects. I have always enjoyed the process of building things and I have always been a DIY kind of guys for projects that I can do myself. If I can do it, no way I am paying someone else to do it for me. Of course, sometimes my ability to get something done does not meet my wife’s expectations. Thankfully, I have been blessed with an awesome wife!

My Dad was also hands on as far as repairs around the house. He even built several pieces of furniture when I was very small. They are still in the family today. He taught me many of the skills I have today.

OK, this is where it all started for me. 8th grade, Marietta Junior High School wood shop class. This is the stool I built during class. That was over 28 years ago and I still have the stool.

As you can see, it has been well used. In fact, it is still used in the garage today.
