I recently purchased this saw at an antique store. Its a small panel saw with a 12” blade. I grabbed it because I hadn’t seen any other Disston’s like it before and I was intrigued. I haven’t been able to find any others like it online and I was hoping someone could help me identify it. I know that the Keystone series was a budget saw line from Disston but I am wondering if this saw would be a good user worth keeping around.

Probably not a keeper. You should throw it away. In my trash can.

A closer picture of the medallion would help give you the approximate time it was made by looking at the Disstionian institute website. Also, you’ll probably get more answers over at the Saw thread.

I did check on the Disstonian Institute and I found that the saw was made between 1940 and 1947. All of the information I have found about the Keystone saw series seems to indicate they were all full size panel saws, so I’m having trouble figuring this little saw out.

Have your say...
