My parents purchased this scrabble set last Christmas. After a few weeks, it ended up looking like you see in the pictures below. Incredible! I figured most people on LJ’s would appreciate these pictures at least. A good reminder of how much wood can move! I’m not sure what species but it feels pretty lightweight.

Looks like a species known as curlwood, to me. It may not have been curlwood when it started out, but it certainly is now. Amazing curl you have there.

They got it from William’s & Sonoma I think. I’m not sure what the country of origin was though.
