Pocket Hole Step Stool

I went into the shop today to finish up a blanket chest. I ended up making a step stool….
Here are some pictures and a video.

Good looking stool. I like the inset runners. May have to do that the next one I make.

Good idea on the extension for the drill. I use a small ratchet wrench that holds the bit in order to get into tight spaces.

it works really well and you can tighten them down well.

Nice looking bench. Great job. Please be warned when using this as a step stool, however. The 2 1/2 inch cantilever of the top past the legs will make this stool very easily tipped. I use trim benches like these on a daily basis for work and if not paying attention you will flip them. On your next one, you may want to consider splaying the legs so that the feet are close to even with the top.
