Changing Planer Blades - 3 replies

I was given a Delta 22-540 bench top planer (by a very generous friend) that is in need of new knives. I am very anxious to get this up and running in my shop, but I was advised that this is a less than straightforward operation. Could anyone provide wise counsel? Thanks!
