I just purchased one of these units last week. I haven’t mounted it to the ceiling yet, but I have running at table height for now just to check it out. I had been planning to build my own filter like this, but for the price it was hard to pass up. Building a similar unit from scratch would probably cost close to the same plus the time to round up the components and assemble it.
