Got into woodworking a little over 30 years ago, in the interum I have made a lot of sawdust. Projects included entertainment centers, bedroom furniture, tables, chairs and the list goes on. I am currently in the process of making some more chairs for our dining room, after that my daughter has me written in for some kitchen cabinets. It seems like they want to keep me busy since I have retired for real this time, which by the way is the fourth time I have tried this, retirement that is.

Welcome, Jack! Staying busy is a good thing. Post pics to keep us up on progress if you get a chance!

Welcome Jack, there are a lot of us retired jocks around here and we are all trying to keep busy, lol. Hope you enjoy the site as much as I have. There are some real fine people in here ready to share their woodworking knowledge and offer any assistance you might need.

I’ve been making sawdust for a long time too. It’s just that I haven’t got much to show for it. I must be a lot lazier than you because retirement worked for me on the very first try. I hope it works for you this time. It should get you a lot of shop time. Welcome to LJ.
