Part 1: Rebuilding 1986 Grizzly 18" Bandsaw
Tonight it begins, the journey of my first major tool rebuild. A very dear friend of mine has given me a Grizzly 18” Bandsaw. It was his neighbors who used it for cutting pipe – he got is around 5 years ago from another guy who was a woodworker who had not used the saw for at least 10 years. Part 2: Christmas Delay
Quick update = Christmas and all that comes with it put a damper on shop activity this past week. With that comes all the storage bins, etc. laying around, under, etc the saw and shop – so will get some good present photos during the next week. I did however find a picture of what this saw looked like brand new in 1986 only to find it is not the same, motor on mine mounts low but to the rear of stationary stand, while photos I find always show motor mounted directly underneath the saw, ...
