With the center unit constructed it was on to building the drawers and doors.
The drawers were just plain maple boxes with simple table saw cut locking corners. Then faced with the oak fronts. The doors rails and stiles are all cut on the router table with the new Bit set my Dad purchased for me last Christmas.
The panels of the doors are all glued up solid oak and cut slightly smaller than the opening. My wife got a kick out of the name that Rockler has for the little rubber pieces you use to hold the smaller panels centered in the opening. Of course they make me think about the Mel Brooks movie :).

For a sense of scale of the unit, that is me standing next to it at about 5’10”.
Next up will be the start of the side bookcases…....

That should fit the new TV nicely.
