Introduction
Anyone heard of Enzo Mari?
About a year ago, when I first started thinking I would get some tools and get serious about woodworking, I thought it would be cool to make a dining table. So I started looking for plans. After a few searches I gave up on reading the text and just started looking at the pictures. And then I saw THE TABLE
There it was, beautiful and ready to build. If only I had the plans. I read on, and learned that in 1974 Enzo Mari presented an exhibit of 19 pieces of easy to build furniture made from 1x pine. He gave away the plans… Then I learned that pretty much everyone copies his "F" (a.k.a. "effe") table. I also learned that some of the 19 pieces of Enzo Mari's furniture were reprinted in Peter Stamberg's 1978 book Instant Furniture. I ordered a copy, since the only place that seems to carry reprints of Mari's instructions seems to be permanently back-ordered. I tore open the package when my copy of Instant Furniture arrived and was disappointed to find the "F" table but not my table - it is pretty nice, but it isn't my table
