hahaha, I hate to beg, but it is really hard to get all the big time search engines to recognize you, of course you can pay, but who wants to pay when you got so many interesting hobbies to spend your money on. So if you’re really bored, go check out “www.newbwoodworking.com”, brand new(b) site, register, post, whatever. I thank you all. this is a woodworking site, no scam, spam, just trying to get my feet wet.

Whatever you do don’t pay For Search Engine Optimization, it is a lot of snake oil, Google picks up the first 1500 characters so use that to catch search results by using key words, what you’re business is about and it’s address in that first few spaces. http://www.buzzle.com/articles/what-is-google-page-rank.html is a good article to start with.

As I understand the situation, a number of search engines use the number of links found to/from a website to decide how ‘high’ to place the site in any search results.
It does take a little time. but I found that linking to other sites, and having them link to mine, got it more visible in searches.
Hopefully, perhaps to help you on the way, I’ve added yours to mine, at www.donjohnson24.co.uk
Good Luck, Don

It looks like a nice little site and a good start. Good luck on it.
