I need some help, Building a router table with an incra stand using birch and 5 quarter pine and need to know the best type of finish to use. I want a natural finish and really don’t spray a finish on. I am also think I should apply the finish before I put the birch on the the stand. Any suggestions would help.
thanks

are you referring to the finish on the top? or the base? I don’t know if I would put a finish on the top.. It would rub off over time..I think I would get some plastic lamination and glue that on.. it will last forever

Get a sheet of formica and glue it on, it will always be smooth and easy to slide wood on and clean up is a breeze!
