About three years ago I built a new router table and added the MLCS PowerLift model 9450, I had reviewed it here. Since I use a router quite a bit this was a great addition to the shop. With it having a digital readout it gave me a lot precision when it came to the depth of cut and made changing the depth of cut very easy. I had decided to upgrade/build a new router table and wanted to add a router lift. When I started looking at options I found that there are many to choose from. Starting at the Woodpecker Side Winder lift at $245 upto the MLCS motorized lift at $389. Most of the better manual lifts were in the $325-$360 range. I decided to get the MLCS lift. I did receive the chisels in January and have been using them now for about a year and could not be more happy with them. When I got them they were very sharp right out of the box, but I lapped the backs and sharpened them anyway. The backs were very flat and it did not take many passes over the stones to have a mirror finish on them. The two larger chisels both had a small nick on the bevel the same distance from the edge. It took a little honing to get them out as these are very hard steel....
