Hello everyone. A friend pointed me to the site a couple of days ago and I've been spending a lot of time admiring the projects section. I am an aspiring woodworker, although I haven't done many projects. I learned woodworking from my dad who mostly got mill ends of pine or fir and made desks or entertainment centers. Joinery consisted of corner blocks and sheetrock screws. I recently signed up for a community woodworking class which gives me 3 hours at the high school shop every Thursday. Since I wanted to build some doors for my newly constructed garden shed I also took a mortise and tenon class from Northwest Woodworking Studio in Portland, OR. So I now know just enough to be dangerous and once a week I have the tools to prove it. While I work on acquiring more hand tools for the home, I simply don't have the space for a large collection of power tools, so the school shop will have to fill that need for now.

I look forward to seeing many more beautiful projects here. By the way, thanks to all of the members who have already welcomed me to the site. I like it here.
