I like to build pieces to furnish my house. Nothing I can afford to buy can come close to the quality I'm after. So, I'll just have to get better at woodworking and do it myself. My favorite wood species is probably walnut or mahogany.

And for some reason, I hate oak. Even though I have oak cabinets and oak flooring. But it was here when I moved in. Don't even get me started on quartersawn.

Haha. I hate oak too. I can appreciate any type of wood but my house was over-oaked when I bought it. Must have been the wood of choice in the 70s.

Welcome to LumberJocks!

This is an awesome group of woodworkers that generously share their talents, passion and interest in woodworking. We are looking forward to your projects and input.

Not to hit you up with this too early, but please notify Tom of any tools you are willing to share with your fellow LumberJocks!

By the way, don’t worry too much about the Lumebrjock Shop Inspection. While it seems intimidating the day they visit, Douglas and Ms Debbie are pretty kind!

LumberJocks is the premier member based woodworking site.
