Hey folks, I just wanted to point out a YouTube channel called Essential Craftsman. It is run by a man named Scott and his son, Nate. Scott values craftsmanship of any kind very highly. He has been a logger and has been a contractor for many years. I have found him to be a wealth of both knowledge and encouragement. He is currently building a spec house and is filming every step of the process. I think many of you might enjoy his channel.

P.S. He is also a really good blacksmith with lots of cool projects.

Thanks for adding the link, Rick, I don’t know how to do that, lol.

I have learned a lot from watching his videos. I am in the market for a circular saw and watched one of his reviews videos on the new Skillsaw vs the older ones. Awesome stuff!

I have been watching the Essential Craftsman since I think his 3rd video. As a retired Design/Build Contractor, I find that Scott and I think alike about craftsmanship and construction. I can see why his channel has reached 100k subscribers in such a short time.

wrenchhead, His video on the worm-drive Skilsaw should be required watching for anyone using a hand held saw.

I discovered his channel thanks to AvE. Love both of their channels and lots of great info. His house building series is just fantastic.

I tried watching AVE, he has good information, I just didn’t like his approach. There is another tear down guy I like to watch, but I am blanking on his channel name at the moment.

The guy has some pretty neat tricks up his sleeve with a Skilsaw. What I like the most is that he teaches without making me feel like a total rookie, lol.
