Stand design - 2 replies I sent this idea to Delta and never heard a word from them.I’m a retired pipefitter and we used “tripod pipe stands” with a screw adjustment on top which made fitting up weld joints precise . Looking for finishing comments - 3 replies I’ve just built a sofa table and stained it with chestnut stain. Now I’m thinking of putting a coat of Tung Oil on all of it and then poly on the top for protection. Any comments good or bad about this? The stain job came out really nice(wife likes it so that’s half the battle) |

combo stain and poly - 15 replies Has anyone else tried this? I’ve tried to use it twice and am not impressed with the results. bending - 4 replies This is my answer to a steamer /bending box. I used “dog ears”(fence slats) stapled them loosely together and used a steamer supplied by Camper. I tried 1/4 maple and it did bend but not very good. May not have got it steamed enough. I used 1/8 poplar and left it in the steamer for about 20 minutes. Seems to work good. I’ll be ... |
