Retired from heavy construction, specializing in high pressure piping.Got into woodworking about 7 years ago.
Try to build everything from china cabinets to keepsake boxes. Most ambicious projects so far have been a cherry curio cabinet(from rough lumber to finished product) and a sewing machine cabinet for my wife (Rockler plans)
I've built several items for friends and neighbors with good results. Everything I do,I try to do just a little bit better than the last project.

Welcome to Lumber Jocks! This is a great place to get – or give – advice about woodworking on the forums and the project posts are a wonderful source of new ideas. I look forward to seeing your projects and posts.

To get the most feedback on your projects, it’s best to only post 1 or 2 at a time. This way you will get feedback over several days and from a wide variety of members.

Please enjoy your membership.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless
tom

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a few months ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…

Wisty

Yes Howie. I think anyone can learn just about anything about any type of working with wood on this site. There is an endless amount of knowledge, education, that is all worth the reads and looks. Keep on makin dust. You’ve got an awesome array of projects there. Great stuff.

I saw your post from a couple of weeks ago where you said you would sell you PC 4212 Dovetail Jig for cheap. Do you still have it and what’s cheap to you? Bear in mind I am a beginner and want to buy quality products so I don’t have to replace them when I get better.

Have your say...
