Mike-do you have any tips for locating the whole before you start the drill? Thx.

Thanks for the welcome Horizontal. Familiar with Howell?
Ended up here about 5 years ago as a transplanted Yooper.
Work is in Brighton. Fairly new to wood working, found this site looking for ideas on stuff to make. Seems pretty active and friendly! Posted a recently finished (and first real) project way earlier this afternoon. A 17' cedar kayak but it's yet to show up on the project list…

Mike, thanks for the welcome to LJ's and thanks for posting pictures of your Thein baffle in the forums. I finally understand how the baffle is supposed to be positioned relative to the inlet elbow.

Mike - nice write up the June edition of the LJ e-Mag. Very interesting stories. And as a fellow biker (7 years and 40,000 miles in the seat) seems that we share two passions. Now off to see your projects.

Mike, have you checked out my own photo galleries/slide shows?
The Bubinga Sideboard always captures positive responses. Have some current projects in the works and maybe even close to completion, in meantime I'll probably post a few more of the recent past projects on LumberJocks. Thanks for the nice comments on my work(s). Happy holidays, tom buhl

I love your shop, Mike. It's great to see another educator who is still kicking after their career. God bless, my friend.

I noticed you must own a Harley. I have a Yamaha Royal Star 1300. Plan on doing more riding this year.

    Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a few months ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ's as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…

Thanks folks, this is quite the welcome party!

Been cruising the suggested links and can't wait to get started on projects once my TS arrives (~6/25/10). Looks like my first project(s) will be building a better workbench that incorporates my 12" miter and a mobile flip top planer cart to slide under same.

Thinking about building the lower bench and cart in these plans:

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

    God Bless

Welcome. You have found the right place for woodworking. A great group of people willing to help. Looking forward to see your projects and comments. Work safe in the shop and don't forget to use pushsticks.
