after a tear down of the cutter head assembly, it was time to put everything together again and set the knives. i do have a dial indicator but it has a arrow head for a point, not the cup or saucer type end. i’ll have to get the correct end and also make a machined jig with magnets. for now, i used the plexiglass and magnets to get the knives up, tighten a hair snug, and did the ‘move stick 1/8” ’ forward trick. should get me where i want to go for now. i definitely know what to do next jointer tune up in regards to tools and procedures.
