Desk made for my Daughter. She plays the violin in High school and I tried to sugest a violin by using the fiddle back maple. The lumber came from a fundraising auction at Jeffry Lohr woodworking. It is all 4/4 so I had to laminate the legs and feet. The effect is pretty cool.
Top is 48×26 and 29 1/2 in high. analine dye, BLO, brushed blonde shellac.

Sculpted rocker made of Cherry.
I know there are quite a few similar rockers posted using plans from Hal Taylor. Here’s my shot at one. I used two sequential slabs of very wide cherry. (picture) The only thing I changed from the plan is the arm design. I made mine a little more round to suit me.
Total time was 6 months 23 days. About 80 to 100 hours total.
It was a great learning experience and I will probably make another.

These are new barn doors for my shed.(formerlly a pigeon coop)
The old door opened in and was narrow. These are wide and open out. I use it for the mower and garden tools and wood storage.
Tongue and groove 5/8 Cedar untreated from Lowes. Expensive but its what I needed.
I made the handles and bolt out of cherry just to give it a handcrafted touch.
Anyway I can get the lawn mower out but it still smells a little like pigeon shi!.

Gate I constructed from Pressure treated pine.
I like that the gate frames the garden before you enter.
It took four tries to make the arch.
The heavy duty hinges aren’t too attractive but were necassary to support the very heavy gate.
It is plumb and square. The camera creates some distortion.

Mirror was one of my first furniture projects three years ago.
The hall table was made in Jeffry Lohr’s school. It was the class project. That is where I learned the straight line inlay which you might see in my other projects.
I highly recommend Jeffry Lohr school of woodworking in PA.
http://www.jdlohrwood.com/services.htm

Made to her request that it must be higher than her sister’s and not painted. She takes pleasure with her friends of seeing who can jump on it without using their hands.
Drawers and arches are walnut. Faceframes are cherry. The rest is Maple plywood. Full extension drawer slides.
Completed Spring of 2008. The room has not been that clean since!
