Kitchen aussie sytle

Been a long time in the making but SWMBO is now happy

Started out I made 5 rooms into one… what a major head ache! I had to reconstruct the 1/2 of the roof putting in a steel beam in one section(had a height restriction) and LVL’s in the other areas.
The flooring was ripped out then filled with crusher dust and bricks, compacted then concreted 4” thick.

The kitchen doors are made from the floor boards(old baltic pine)and the top is made from the old floor joist/bearers, plus I picked up a cube of old jarrah… for nothing, well almost I going to make a huge coffee table for him with whats left over(lotsa leftovers).

The doors were a PITA, because the boards were polished several times they were only about 3/4” thick so by the time I machined them straight and square I had to laminate all of them too get the thickness required(1”). They are all M&T joinery.
Cabinets are 35” high(including the top)and 25” deep, the sink area has a 8” overhang for an overall 33” width.
We wanted a country style with a dash of modern, so I made the doors with double raised panels separated by a centre mouton finished of with satin stainless bow handles, then a nice chunky jarrah top of 1.6” thick(very heavy), then added a new stainless stove and double bowl sink.
The tiled splashback is vanilla glass ripple with a mosaic stone boarder, super shiney.

Its not finished yet, still have to make the kickboards and the rear face for the sink cabinets as you can see in the pics. Im waiting to start making the pantry cabinet to make the rest, it easier to leave the machines set if you get what I mean.

In the two corners instead of a impossible to reach cupboard(31” deep!)so I made some pullouts, it wastes a fair bit of space but its way more user friendly… I continued the theme and made every shelf a pullout!

This is one of my commissions I made a while back, it was for a workmate.
The wood is radiata pine stained to blackwood(Australian). Its based on a half lapped joined frame work on which all of the panels/pillisters and corbells screw too, it comes apart in 3 main parts. All panels are raised with morticed and tenoned rails and stiles
Has all the shelfing below the tenders deck on full extension drawer slides for ease of use.
