Turned the “garage” of my newly acquired home into a Shop. No cars have spent time in this place since I got a hold of it. It is mostly a center for house and bike maintenance, weight lifting and of course woodworking! A man cave through and through. Always a work in progress, since I got the place in sept 09.

Looking in from the garage door, storage is across the back in a series of shelves. Weight bench and yard stuff (excluded from pictures) is on the left wall. Workbench with pegboard and a bit storage on the right. A movable work table in the center with drop down power and air so I don’t trip over cords. Most of the stuff in the center area is sturdy but mobile for flexibility. most of my “bench” tools (vise, bench grinder, miter saw etc.) are on plywood planks so they can be moved and clamped where they are needed.

I tried for a long time to keep both a garage and a shop but eventually just gave up and let my truck sit outside so I can well understand where you are coming from. How about posting some pictures of your shop when you get the chance?

thanks, a lot of people comment on this site, I didn’t realize how active it is. I have off tomorrow so I am going to do a little cleanup and make myself a picture frame jig. Should have it and the shop pictures up tomorrow afternoon.

Very Nice, I like the hanging electric and air hoses. Good job.

Chase, you have put together a nice looking shop. It looks like you have your hand tools well organized. Pegboard is a good material to help with organizing and storing them. Like you I use it to store my hand tools and keep them ready for use.

Thanks for the pictures. I enjoyed taking a tour of your shop.
