A non-woodworking project (a 6 speed, two seat pedal car)
Yes, I know, it is not a woodworking project. Well… about 5% is wood (part of the top, the storage racks, and two hardwood dowels inside the front and back PVC cross members). There is a steel pipe (top of a chain link fence) inside each of the two lower outside PVC tubes.The main frame is 40 schedule 1 1/4” PVC. The top and top supports are 20 schedule 1 1/4” PVC. The steering column and steering wheel is 1” PVC.The seats are boat seats from ‘Fleet Farm’.And of course there is a place for our little dog.The plans, wheels, and hardware are from americanspeedster.com. Total cost was about $450.It was a fun project.
